URBAN MYTHS is a book of art by the illustration team of Dan and Kozue Kitchens, who sign their work as kozyndan. The Los Angeles-based duo's colorful style combines the pop culture influences of Japanese Superflat artists, eye-straining detail of British comic book master Geoff Darrow, and effortlessly cool whimsy of filmmaker Tim Burton. Rabbits, robots, blobs, monsters, and schoolgirls collide in a colorful, saturated, and sunny yet sinister universe. Kozyndan's work has been featured prominently in Giant Robot, album covers for Weezer and the Postal Service, and recently interactive production for Nike. Urban Myths, their first published collection, was printed in conjunction with a show at the GR2 gallery.

On April 11th, support independent film making, support minority directors, and support asian american awareness by seeing Better Luck Tomorrow on its opening night. It just got bought by MTV Films. Since this is an independent film - it is being released in only 3 movie theaters the first three weeks in New York City along with a few other major cities such as Los Angeles. It will be played at the Angelica, the Chelsea, and the AMC theater in Times Square. If this movie does not sell out and do well at the box office, it will be pulled from the theaters after 2 to 3 weeks - keep in mind that if it does do well, Paramount will release it to more theaters, locally, and hopefully nationally.
